Trustpilot not so trustworthy

Over the past two years I’ve made purchases from cex online and each time cex invited me to leave reviews on trustpilot, every review was a confirmed purchase

Today trustpilot removed all of the genuine reviews from confirmed purchases we made

A number of times cex invite me to leave a trust pilot review with my confirmed purchases

They are always confirmed reviews on trustpilot

If we have problems with cex we leave a negative review and trustpilot have removed all of our legitimate, confirmed purchase reviews

Trustpilot mass remove damming reviews, so next time you read trustpilot and see all those outstanding reviews, know that most of the severe reviews have been removed by trustpilot

People have recently taken to trustpilot to air their concerns

I don’t believe trustpilot at impartial and maybe they work with companies likes cex to remove the really bad publicity / reviews for cex

We at believed in trustpilot and was let down, my question is how much did cex pay you to remove our genuine and confirmed views from genuine purchases?

We will contact trustpilot for comment

we were contacted by Brittany who stated our reviews must follow the guidelines

Our review did follow the guidelines, it was a genuine review from personal experience it was a genuine confirmed purchase, it was a honest review

The review stated the following

We brought an Apple TV Remote from Cex nearly 1 week passed and despite the item being shipped special delivery parcel had not arrived and cex had ignored emails about this

We have emailed Trustpilot Press office in the UK for comment and will update this page as it unfolds

We have tried calling trustpilot however the phone just rings and takes you back to the main option menu after 3 mins of holding and goes around in a loop like a broken record.

As you can see from our screenshot

There is nothing wrong with our review and here is the proof

As you can see it’s been saying out for delivery, the item was sent special delivery and cex confirmed the purchase

Here is proof that trustpilot remove genuine negative reviews

Webuy Cex Review

Having been a loyal customer as cex for many years I am disappointed that years of custom means nothing to cex.

Recently I brought a Samsung S6 gold 32GB from one of their stores and weeks later ghosting appeared on the screen so I asked cex to repair or replace it and they refused and stated that would only buy it back, so I Lost £70 (proof will be uploaded shortly)

About a year ago I brought a Samsung S7 edge from their Ashford Branch in Kent 24 hours after use the phone stopped working the phone went off during use and then it wouldn’t come back on or charge

I brought a Samsung S8 from their Surrey branch and I get it home to discover that the Samsung health app wouldn’t work and a notification came up saying the phone had been compromised (rooted) I returned it and they said they would only give me a voucher or a replacement

I took it to Samsung who confirmed that it had been rooted and they quoted me for a repair and repaired it for me at a cost. I couldn’t be without a phone as I have panic attacks and need my phone for support.

I brought a HTC for my partner and brought it via the cex website and it claimed it was grade A but the camera was scratched returned it and tried to buy several others and all of them had to go back because they were more like grade C passed off as Grade B with scratches across the screen and lots of marks on the casing

When it comes to honouring their CeX 24-month warranty they hardly ever do

They never want to repair the device, if they do offer they will hold on to it for a few weeks while the price goes down and then offer you a voucher for the current selling price

We have had faulty batteries, 1 recent Nokia 8210 came and wouldn’t power on or charge and they wouldn’t provide a replacement or repair and where not even willing to send the battery they had in stock

Selling in is worse, I’ve had them buy something from me and graded it as a C grade and sell it the next day in the same shop window as a grade B which meant you got less for an item, I’ve had cex refuse to buy a Nokia because they claimed to not buy them in when the website sells them and offers to to buy them, the same happened when I tried to trade in a camcorder.

This is by far the worst company to deal with and the only way that you get more rights buying from them is if you buy via their website because you have 15 days by law to return the items under the cooling off period if it’s faulty or you are not happy with it or it’s quality you can return it and they seem to honour

Trading standards should look in to this company

Research UK consumer law, know your rights and if cex or any other company deny you of your consumer rights called CAB citizens advice or take them to court

It’s simple just go to money claim online or your local small claims court and fill out the paper if you think you have a strong case against them or get a solicitor

Trustpilot review update

Trustpilot fast accuse you of having multiple accounts and being the same user when your household shop at cex

Several people live in this house hole, we all have cex accounts we are all individuals

When people live in the same household they use the same broadband and share the same IP address

There is nothing in the trustpilot terms and conditions that prohibits more than one account per household

Trustpilot sucks

Adguard Review

Fedup of seeing adverts? Look here

Blocking adverts using a advert blocking dns is one of the best ways I block unwanted adverts

I visited the dailymail after setting this up and many news websites and all the adverts are blocked and the websites are advert free

It also has handy setup instructions and best of all it’s free

I’ve been using it and I no longer get any of those creepy stalking adverts that follow me from website to website

DNS level advert blocking is powerful and works well

Adguard is the best adblocker I’ve ever come across

eBay Nintendo Switch Scam review

This is a review of one of the low priced listings on eBay

Yesterday evening a eBay member was trying to sell Brand New £250 Nintendo Switches buy it now for £57.98

We are not making any accusations against the seller but it seems very suspicious

Today you look at the item number and the items gone, so had the previous positive feedbacks where people claimed to be happy with their Nintendo switches

I suspect it was either a hacked account or a scam but the member didn’t seem to get banned

3 of the switches had sold at £57.98 according to the listing so we wonder what happens to the buyers money who brought these items

Either way glad if a item seems very cheap and too good too be true, it probably is too good to be true

I can’t help but wonder how many poor people get scammed online on any website this time of the year, no one deserves to be scammed
